Design duo Christopher Sutton and Sean Anthony Moran take the signature fantasy glamour of Void of Course and construct a new reality for their muse within SkinDeep Inc. SkinDeep Inc is an entire life in a corporation, an expansive future world of referencing a by-gone era where uniform, order and luxury form the trajectory for existence. The Void of Course woman is strict, flawless and independent, confident and extreme in her individuality and fearlessly driving her own destiny and truth. The dichotomy between the sophisticated style and sentimentality of fashion’s by-gone eras and an ultra-progressive future-inspired aesthetic remains pivotal within Void of Course’s work.
Structure and form remain central to the Void of Course silhouette this season through sharp executive tailoring in Neoprene, Latex, Leather and Denim. A predominantly black futurist palette acts as a blank canvas intersected by cool electric blues, high-shine and gloss satin panels and dramatic digital prints creating a harsh geometry upon the body following the lines of body-conscious seams. Smart casual shapes and low-slung trousers provide contrast within this authoritarian aesthetic bringing a soft and romantic texture to the collection. Provocative leather and latex exoskeleton-inspired undergarments and headpieces remain as Void of Course seasonal staples in black hard-form leather with sci-fi Oil-Blue visors for the SkinDeep Inc. businesswoman of tomorrow. Void of Course present their first collection of leather goods this season with iPad and iPhone cases, briefcases and backpacks with embossed leather motifs, studs and linings taken from the main collection.
